2006 Senior's Circuit Classic September 27 & 28, 2006 |
The 2006 Seniors Classic was quite a challenge for the seniors this season. But after 2 days of some typical fall weather the team of Matt Sizemore / Merle West blew the field of 25 teams away on day 2 of the tournament, with 4 fish that weighed 11.96 lbs. with a 2 day total of 16.25 lbs. Earning them a check for $2,500.00 & 2 classic trophy's. After the tournament I spoke with team captain Matt Sizemore he told me that he fished the dam area of the lake with big jigs to catch his fish. This was Matt's last tournament with the seniors for next season he is moving to Tennessee; we all wish him the best! 2nd Place Team was last years Points & Classic Champions Les Whitaker & Randy Voke they had a 2-day total of 9.56 lbs. earning them $1000.00 3rd Place Team was Larry Hostetler / Jack Mundt their 2-day total was 8.46 lbs. Earning them $500.00 4th Place Team was Gene Amos / Chester Crabtree their 2-day total was 8.37 lbs. Earning them $450.00 5th Place Team was Don Tunget / Jerry Cooper their 2-day total was 8.15 lbs. Earning them $400.00 Don & Jerry were also the 2006 senior's Points Champions! They earned an additional $500.00 from Old Milwaukee Beer. 6th Place Team was Richard Dildine / Randy Hooser their 2-day total was 4.55 lbs. Earning them $350.00 7th Place Team was Richard Beitman /Richard Huffman their 2-day total was 6.99 lbs. Earning them $300.00 8th Place Team was Dick Ferguson / Dan Pardue their 2-day total was 6.61 lbs. They were also the big bass winners on day 2 & Big Bass Winner of the tournament with a 4.69 lbs. toad. Their total earnings were $500.00 9th Place Team was Steve Littrell / Dave Clark their 2-day total was 6.03 lbs. They were also the day 1 leaders & day 1 big bass winners with a 4.10 lbs. toad. Their total earnings were $450.00 10th Place Team was Roy Potter / Ron Schmidt their 2-day total was 4.68 lbs. Earning them $134.00 This years Classic fund totaled $6388.00 after D.N.R. Fees & Awards of $302.00 the classic pay back was $6086.00 This is a 100% Payback! Our Hog Roast was Sponsored by Steve & Bob Buha of Peterbuilt / G.M.C. in Portage Indiana. Thanks Guys!! There were 42 fish caught & released alive, with the total 2day weight of 108.12 lbs. In this years classic at Catarack Lake. Next year should be very exciting with 2 Seniors Circuits to choose from in 2007, a northern & a southern divisions. Please keep your eye on this site for further dates & details.
