|
Dear Got 2 Love It Bass Anglers,
Patoka is still one of the best bass fishing lakes in this part of the country; I believe that Sunday's weigh-in proves that. There were 203 fish caught with the total weight of 546.53 lbs. 78 boats out of 109 boats caught fish. There were 12-5 fish limits. Jeff Roy & Don Haggenjof of Martinsville won the event with
20.76 lbs. 5 fish limit, they also won 1st & 2nd Big Bass with a 23" 6.87 lbs. bass & a 5.86 lbs. bass. Their total winnings were $3677.00 plus a new Strictly Bass Rod. Outstanding job Roy & Don!
2nd Place went to the team of Dave Sanders & Rod Keel with another 5 fish limit that weighted 16.77 lbs. 3rd. place went to the team of Dave & Ed Hargis they also had a 5 fish limit that weighted 15.43 lbs. Mike Stoute & Jamie Barksdale won the free entry into the classic. The top Male/ Female Team was Wayne Colvin & Linda Newman. Also Sue Parrish & Carol Boykin won the top Female/Female Team for the 2nd time this season. Scott & David McGlinchey won the Top Parent / Child Team. Congratulations to all the Winners.
There was a lot going on yesterday, at the weigh in & this sometimes happens at bass tournaments. I want to thank all of you for your patience! There are a couple of things that I must stress to all of you. Please read all of the rules very carefully, this can eliminate a lot of problems that can occur. Safety & Sportsmanship are very important in tournament bass fishing today. Never do anything that you would not like done to you! Also be ready for the unexpected when you are on the water.
Our next event is only 3 weeks away at Rocky Point on the Ohio River. Hope to see you all then!
Good fishin'
