2004 Classic Lake Monroe
October 9, 10, 2004

Dear Anglers,

After two pretty nice days for October, the "Champions of 2004" are,

Bob & Brad Ayers

   These two brothers from Martinsville, Indiana brought a 5 fish limit of bass to the scales each day. On Saturday 10/9/04 they weighed in 18.48 lbs. Bob had big bass honors, with a 7.08 lbs. bass and big bass of the tournament. On Sunday the conditions had changed drastically. A cold front had came through on late Saturday afternoon dropping the temperatures to the low 50's by daylight on Sunday, with a strong east wind 15 to 20 M.P.H. I realized that this was going to be a lot different day than Saturday. At 2:00 P.M. these great fishermen were the first team to weigh in, they brought in another limit that weighed 13.13 lbs. There were only two limits weighed in on Sunday. Their total weight for the tournament was 31.61 lbs. I want to congratulate these two brothers on a job well done! They took home over $5300.00 in cash & prizes.

    2nd Place was the team of Rick Lewin & Eldon Crabtree of Northern Indiana. These two anglers brought in a limit on Saturday that was only 5 oz. out of 1st. Place. I suppose that Eldon's arthritis must have been bothering him on Sunday because they only managed to bring 2 fish to the scales with a 2 day total of 22.89 lbs. Just kidding old timer! This earned them $2200.00 in cash & awards.

   3rd place went to the Father/Son team of Ed & David Hargis of Heltonville, Indiana with the total weight of 18.40 lbs. That earned them $1100.00 in cash & Awards. Ed Bauer & Dan Perrin finished 4th with 17.93 lbs. They won $900.00 in cash & awards. The 2004 Points Champions Rick Kennedy & Rob Merriman finished 5th with 10.89 lbs. they won, $650.00 for their efforts.

   On Saturday at the hog roast these great fishermen were awarded over $800.00 in prizes plus the #1 position in the first Got 2 Love it Tournament of 2005. There were also two free entries given away at the conclusion of the award presentation on Sunday. Including the hog roast & total prize monies, awards, & prizes.

   Got 2 Love It Bass Tournaments paid out over $15,500.00 back to the fishermen at the Classic in 2004. I hope that all of you & your families enjoyed yourselves as much as my wife Donna & I did at the hog roast on Saturday!
