Monroe Reservoir - July 12, 2004 |
Hope all had a good time at the UNION MEMBERS Tournament on Sunday July 11, at Monroe Reservoir. There were only 23 boats, but the fish were biting. There were 37 fish caught with a total weight of 91.80 lbs. Making an average of 2.48 lbs. per fish. There was an 80% payback to the 23 Boat field! Congratulations to the winners: Tim Pridemore a Electrician from U.A.W. Local 933 in Indianapolis & his partner Pat Lambert of Martinsville, they brought to the scales a 5 fish limit that weighed 14.13 lbs. Earning them the 1st. place prize of $1200.00. The Big Bass winner was Norm Coulter of Gnawbone with a 5.66 lbs. bass that earned him $250.00 & a nice plaque to put in his store. He & his partner Bruce Stamper from Teamsters Local 135, Indianapolis, won $600.00 for 2nd. Place with a 5 fish limit with the total weight of 13.48 lbs. Norm is the owner of Big River Tackle & Timber in Gnawbone, (One of our Sponsors!) Stop by the store and see him soon, I'm sure there is a FISH story ??? The 3rd Place winners with 13.20 lbs. and another 5 fish limit was Don Tunget & Jerry Cooper two old retirees (just kidding guy's) from U.A.W. Local 933 in Indianapolis. As of today I have 46 entries in the July 25th.Tournament on Patoka. There is a 125 boat limit on Patoka this time of year so get your entry in soon, There will be a-lot of local anglers fishing this one, so don't wait until the last minute to get in.
