2008 Wish Tournament Press Release

NEWS RELEASE…….. NEWS RELEASE………..NEWS RELEASE……….

Greeting Anglers,
I have spoken to the Army Corps of Engineers this morning at Patoka Lake, they tell me that they can drop the lake about ¼ ft. a day. If we don't have anymore major rain. And if the earthquakes don't cause us any problems in which is happening as I write this news update. To prevent any confusion we will only be using the Newton Stewart South Ramp at both the Wish Tournament on May 3, 2008 & the Team Tournament that will be the following day. So please plan accordingly. I'm sorry about the water problems we are having, but this is out of my control, I feel that this will make things a lot simpler for everyone.

Hope to see you all in May!
Bill Embry

April 10, 2008

Greetings Anglers,

Spring has finally arrived along with a lot of rain! Last Sunday was our first team tournament of the season, & the weather was beautiful. Please go to our tournament page for the results. Lake Monroe & Patoka are both real close to their all time highs. With more heavy rain coming in the next couple of days I would not be surprise to see both Lake Monroe & Patoka water levels going over their spillways. The B.F.L. has been canceled at Lake Monroe on the 19th due to this problem. Our next event will be the Senior's tournament on Wednesday April 16th at Patoka. Hopefully we can get it in.

There are several contingency prizes again this year & they will also be posted by the time you read this newsletter. Please be sure to take a look to see what is out their for you to win this season if your fishing in our events.

The Indiana Children's Wish Tournament on May 3rd & The Fallen Soldier's Tournaments on June 14th are filling up fast. Both of these events will Televised on T.V. Channel 27, WJTS out of Jasper Indiana. They will have a camera crew at both weigh-in's. So if your interested in getting some of your sponsor's some free advertisement you might want to get signed up for these events. Both events promise to be outstanding events. In the Wish event, French Lick Resort & Casino will match dollar for dollar what we raise.

If your in the market for a new boat, the Skeeter boats Demo Team will be on hand at the Wish Tournament to give free rides in Skeeter's great line of new boats. They will start around 2:00 P.M. until around 6:00 P.M. There will also be a drawing for $500 at the end of the day, all you have to do to be eligible is take a demo ride in a new Skeeter boat. You also don't have to be present to win!

If you like pork, I'm told that their will be a hog roast at the Fallen Soldier's Tournament. So bring a appetite. Also we accept anything that can be raffled off at either event, this also will help us raise monies.

Thanks!

See ya next month,
Bill & Donna Embry
